Third Age Life Plannng - Bringing Purpose and Passion to Your Life After 50

The years after mid-life - roughly the active decades after 50 - are new territory for everyone.

Most women and men who enter it go through a period of inner searching and rearranging, answering basic life questions anew. They can benefit in this process - you can benefit - from the experience of those who have gone before, from research and the new gerontology, and from the experience of peers.

Third Age Life Planning supports the evaluation, visioning, and implementation that you'll experience in your own transition to 3rd age and beyond.

Training opportunities include half and one day small group explorations, ongoing small group classes, and life coaching in person or on via phone. Click here for the small class basic program.

The goal of 3rd Age life planning is to support you in living a purpose-filled and passionate third age.

What are the areas of Third Age Life Planning?

Third Age Life Planning covers core areas that everyone must explore, and makes room for optional areas that are of interest to some.

* health (e.g., how can I maintain age-appropriate health?)

* finances (e.g., what financial resources do I need to achieve my goals?)The core areas include:

  • exploring the big picture (what does it mean to age today, and what does it mean to me?)
  • introspection (what am I bringing to this time?)
  • visioning (what do I want and need in order to fulfill myself at this time?)
  • implementation (how can I make this happen?)
  • finances (what financial resources to I need now?)
  • health (what's realistic and doable for my health and am I doing it?)

As well, there are many life areas that will interest some 3rd Agers, but not all. They include work, learning, giving back (civic responsibility), spirituality and meaning, mentoring, hobbies, relationship, leisure and more. These pursuits reflect our diversity and remain a vital part of who we are.
