I'm a "retirement revolutionary," and see myself in the tradition of the story teller, one of many people helping create a new collective story for social and individual change. (Actually I think we're all doing this, intentionally or no.
I'm a lifelong student of human transformation in all its guises. Since my 20s I've sensed that the winds of change were in the air. (Hey it was the 60s - the winds of change were in the air.)
My work life has included social work with ex-offenders and developmentally delayed people. I've edited a couple of alternative magazines, Common Ground, Toronto's new age magazine and Everyman Men's Journal. I've been a contract writer for the government and a freelance editor as well.
I've been involved with leaderless small groups for years as a way of getting the feedback and support I need to grow personally in a highly palatable form. I've led or co-led other small groups too. I love what happens when the "collective intelligence" of people in groups starts cooking.
A personal love is wilderness canoeing and camping. The solo trip I took in 2002 from near Lake Superior, north to near James Bay was my most fun ever.
