4 Gateways Coaching - Evoking Soul Wisdom in your Third Age

4 Gateways Coaching is a tool for building a future that connects all the parts of you, not just the material. It works with four archetypal perspectives on your life - four gateways - the vantage points of the inner sovereign (Being or Purpose), the magician (Thinking, Perceiving), the lover (Feeling), and the warrior (Acting or Boundary Setting).

The multiple perspectives turn out to be more than the sum of their parts. You can use the four gateways to look at daily concerns or at profound soul issues. And you can do it by yourself, with a friend, or with a coach.

Tom Daly (primarily) developed 4 Gateways Coaching out of the work of Jungian analyst Douglas Moore (especially in the book King, Warrior, Magician, Lover). Tom's 4 Gateways site is here.

There are a number of unique beliefs to 4 Gateways Coaching. For example (in Tom's words), "All aspects of an issue are essential and belong to the system. Even parts of individuals or systems that are denied, hidden, and projected must be included to produce long lasting, healing resolutions." These hidden parts tend to arise naturally in a session. A session lasts between an hour and an hour and a half. The 4 Gateways approach is easy to learn and apply; once you know it you can use it by yourself or work with a friend. The presence of someone else helps it go deeper, but you may have reasons, to work it on your own. You certainly may. Here are some thoughts on why working with a coach is a good thing.
